Kokeshi is a competitive board game where players become artisans crafting traditional wooden dolls. Published by Ludofun and Galápagos Jogos, the game went on to win the Best Art award from Ludopedia.

The Request
Ludofun and Galápagos Jogos commissioned us to create the character cast and box art for Kokeshi, a board game about Japanese artisans crafting traditional wooden dolls. Our task was to design a charming lineup of kokeshi characters and their animal companions, and bring them together in the cover illustration.
Kokeshi went on to win the Best Art award in 2024 from Ludopedia, and became one of Ludofun’s first titles to reach international shelves, debuting at Spiel Essen.
